Gallatin Valley SERVE@Home Youth Registration

July 15 - 18, 2020 | Gallatin Valley SERVE@Home will take place on July 15-18, 2020. Please fill out this registration form and click submit.
Gallatin Valley SERVE@Home is scheduled for July 15-18, 2020. The Host Team is excited about moving this one step further with participant registration!

Who can participate?
Those who have graduated from the 8th grade through 12th grade graduates are all welcomed to join Gallatin Valley SERVE@Home.

When are registrations due?
Registration is due by July 1 to ensure the Host Team has time to finalize all the details.

What can you expect?
The schedule for Wednesday - Saturday will vary each day. Generally, the day will run from 8 am - 9 pm.

Wednesday will be a 'Day Away' at Hyalite Reservior to go hiking, paddle boarding, eat food, and worship by the lake.

Thursday and Friday will begin with breakfast and then go into the community to serve from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Then there will be supper, worship, and activities in the evening.

Saturday will be an intergenerational service day culminating in an evening meal, activities, and worship.

Youth can either stay overnight at Manhattan CRC on Thursday and Friday nights or sleep at their homes.

All meals from Wednesday noon through Saturday night will be provided.

How much will it cost?
There is no cost for the youth who participate. The Host Team, Youth Group, and supporting churches want as many people to participate as possible, so everyone is working together to cover the costs for food, worksite supplies, and other expenses.

What if you can't come for the entire event?
Ideally, those who participate will be involved all day from Wednesday morning through Saturday night. As mentioned before, youth can choose to sleep at their own home.

Those who can't come to the entire SERVE@Home event need to indicate that below in the form. This way our Host Team can plan accurately for food, worksites, and activities. By indicating "Partial Involvement", please describe what you have going on and expect an individual from the Host Team to contact you about your response.

What will happen if COVID-19 restrictions increase?
The Host Team continues to discuss this internally and with the supporting churches. Safety and faith formation are two key priorities, which are not mutually exclusive. While we do not anticipate major changes with Gallatin Valley SERVE@Home due to increased COVID-19 restrictions, any changes will be communicated promptly with all who register and the supporting churches. That said, the Host Team is working hard to ensure everyone is safe and all can grow in their faith throughout this experience. For now the planning and preparations will continue forward!

Who can I talk to with questions?
Please contact Kyle De Boer (youthdirector@manhattancrc.org) or talk with other Host Team members including Kathy Eekhoff, Zach Fountaine, Hannah Brouwer, Hank Eekhoff, Jackie Van Dam, Mark Eekhoff, and Jeanette Walhof.

If a participant arrives at any of our programs and appears to be ill (Colds, influenza, and other contagious diseases and viruses, including COVID 19 and other illnesses both known and unknown), the Host Team and/or adult volunteers may do a brief health-check, including taking the participant's temperature. If the participant is exhibiting any of the symptoms below, he/she may be asked to return home. We require that participants are "symptom-free" for at least 24 hours, before returning. We will require a doctor's statement following a serious or communicable illness.
